About Haapsalu
Haapsalu is a small seaside town on the west coast, known for warm shallow water, therapeutic mud and a relaxed feel. It became a resort in the 19th century after word spread about the healing qualities of its sea mud, attracting Russian nobility and artists. The town centres on the medieval Episcopal Castle and a railway station with a covered platform once the longest in Europe. Buses from Tallinn take about 1.5 to 2 hours; by car, take the E67 towards Pärnu, then turn off. There is no train service to Haapsalu.
