Getting there
Lux Express and Hansabuss both run Tallinn-Pärnu roughly every hour from the Bussijaam terminal. 2 hours flat, $11-14 one way. Book on tpilet.ee. There's no direct train. Driving is faster off-peak (90 minutes) but the E67 south backs up on summer Fridays. Bus drops you central, 10 minutes' walk to the beach.

Pärnu is a beach day, plain and simple. The main sand strip runs 2 km, shallow enough to walk out 100 metres.
