Noblessner was founded in 1913 to build submarines for the Tsarist Baltic fleet; from 1918 it produced them for the Soviets, then fell derelict. Since 2018 it's been transformed into a waterfront district of restored yellow-brick industrial buildings, a marina, and the PROTO Invention Factory. Restaurants Nono, 180° by Matthias Diether, and Fotografiska's outpost put Noblessner on Tallinn's fine-dining map — 180° holds two Michelin stars. At 9pm on a summer evening the marina promenade is the most photogenic spot in the city.

Skip if you want vibe on the doorstep — Noblessner is dead by 11pm and nearly empty in winter apart from restaurant patrons. It's a 25-minute walk to Old Town or a 10-minute Bolt. Best for couples, food travelers, and anyone whose ideal Tallinn night involves a tasting menu and a walk along the water.
Accommodation here is thin — a handful of boutique hotels and apartment complexes along Peetri tänav and Tööstuse. Nono has rooms above the restaurant; the Noblessner marina apartments run $110-$220. Expect $95-$180 a night generally. The area is small — you’re always 300 meters from the water. Avoid apartments on Tööstuse west of the shipyard core; that stretch is still industrial and unlovely.

Getting around Noblessner
Bus 73 from Balti jaam runs to Noblessner in 8 minutes, $2. From Old Town it's a 25-minute walk along Kalaranna or a $7 Bolt. From the airport, take bus 2 to Balti jaam then bus 73, or Bolt direct for $14-$17. The district itself is walkable in ten minutes. Bike is viable — the seafront cycle path connects Noblessner to Kalamaja and eventually Rotermann.
